IPB, University Technology Mara of Malaysia to establish cooperation

The Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) and University Technology Mara of Malaysia are exploring cooperation prospects covering special animal husbandry, plantations and agribusiness, IPB spokesman Henny Windarti said in Bogor on Monday.

He also said that under the cooperation, an offer is also made to IPB teachers and lecturers, extraordinary teachers and lecturers and for staff of teachers and lecturers of the University Technology Mara wishing to study further at the IPB at magistrate and PhD level.

He said that the study of the cooperation possibilities was disclosed by Prof Dr Saifullah Abdullah of University Technology Mara, when leading a 7-member delegation from the Malaysian university on a visit to IPB, in the first week of this month.

The Malaysian guests were greeted warmly by IPB`s management, comprising Deputy Rector for Academic Studies and Student Affairs Prof Yonny Koesmaryono, Deputy Rector for Business and Communications Dr Arif Imam Suroso flanked by Dean of the Animal Husbandry faculty Dr Luky Abdullah, and Professor of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture Prof Sudirman Yahya.
