Indonesian Flag career PT Garuda Indonesia has announced that starting Friday (June 20) it will carry out a cooperation agreement with Singapore Airlines in flight opertations and ticket sales to lure more foreign tourists flying to Bali through Singapore."In the first stages of the cooperation with Singapore Airlines flights cover the Bali-Singapore route vice versa once a day starting on August 1, 2008," Emirsyah Satar, Garuda CEO told the press here Friday after the singing of an MoU on the cooperation, while siging the MoU for Singapore Airlines was its CEO Chew Choon Seng.
Emirsyah said, Garuda under a special prorate agreeemt (SPA)will fly from Singapore to Europe, United States and the Middle East. It means that Garuda can sell its tickets to several parts of world through Singapore Airlines, he cited.
Garuda under this cooperation sets its load factor at up to an average of 80 percent, he said, adding that the number of passengers in the first semester this year has been estimated at 4 million.
